Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026 · Effective: June 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Meda Academy online learning platform. They apply to students, instructors, and visitors. This document is published in English. You may contact us in Arabic or English. By using Meda Academy, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Summary: Meda Academy provides university-style courses from independent instructors. You pay via CliQ transfer with manual approval before access begins. Course access is time-limited. Refunds are available while your enrollment is still pending approval, and in serious platform technical failures we review case by case. Do not share your account or submit fake payment proofs. Meda Academy is not affiliated with any university.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meda Academy, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Platform and update the effective date. Where appropriate, we may notify you by email. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

2.1 Who may use the Platform

Meda Academy does not set a fixed minimum age to register. The Platform is designed for university-level learners. If you are under 18, we recommend using the Platform with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including your name, email address, and mobile number. You are responsible for keeping this information up to date.

2.2 Your account

Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at meda.company.jo@gmail.com. To request account closure, contact us. We will process requests in line with our Privacy Policy. Certain records (such as orders and enrollments) may be retained as described there.

2.3 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, abuse the Platform, or remain inactive for an extended period. Submitting fake or manipulated CliQ payment proofs may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

3. About Meda Academy

Meda Academy is an online marketplace where independent instructors publish courses aimed at university students, particularly in Jordan. Courses may be offered in Arabic, English, or both. Meda Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official partner of any university, faculty, or academic institution. Course content is supplemental study material provided by instructors and does not constitute official university credit, certification, or accreditation unless we state otherwise in writing for a specific offering.

4. Course Enrollment & Payment

4.1 Prices and currency

Course prices are displayed in Jordanian Dinars (JOD). Unless we state otherwise on the checkout page, the price shown is the final amount you pay—no additional fees are added at checkout.

4.2 How checkout works

To enroll, add courses to your cart and complete checkout. Payment is made by transferring the total amount via CliQ. At checkout, you upload a transfer proof (screenshot or image). Meda Academy does not store payment card details and does not process card payments on the Platform. Your order remains pending until an administrator reviews your payment proof. You do not receive course access until your enrollment is approved.

4.3 Approval, rejection, and resubmission

If your payment proof is valid, your order will be approved and your enrollment will become active. If it is rejected, you will be notified and may contact us to clarify the issue, submit a corrected proof where applicable, or place a new order. We may reject orders with invalid, incomplete, duplicate, or fraudulent payment proofs.

4.4 Access period

Each course has an access period in days, set by the instructor when the course is created. Your access period begins when your enrollment is approved and ends on the expiry date shown in your account, unless extended by us or repurchased as described below. When access expires, you lose access to the course until you enroll again.

4.5 Repurchase after expiry

After your access expires, you may purchase the same course again through the normal checkout and approval process. You will pay the course's then-current listed price at the time of your new purchase.

4.6 Price changes

If an instructor changes a course price, the new price applies only to future purchases. It does not affect enrollments that are already active or were already approved at a previous price.

5. Refunds

5.1 Refunds while enrollment is pending

If your order has not yet been approved and you have not been granted course access, you may request a refund by contacting us. If we confirm that no access was granted, we will refund the amount via CliQ to the extent the payment can be reversed or returned in line with CliQ's process.

5.2 Refunds after access is granted

Once your enrollment is approved and you can access course content, purchases are generally final. We do not offer routine refunds based on change of mind, partial progress, or completion of part of a course.

5.3 Serious technical failures

If a significant technical failure on Meda Academy's side prevents you from accessing course content you have already been approved for, contact us promptly with your account details and a description of the issue. We will review the situation in good faith. If the problem is confirmed, substantial, within our reasonable control, and not resolved within a reasonable time after you report it, we may offer a proportionate remedy—such as extended access, credit toward a future purchase, or in serious cases a partial or full refund via CliQ—based on how long and how severely your paid access was affected. This does not apply to issues caused by your device, internet connection, third-party services outside our control, brief maintenance windows, or minor temporary interruptions.

5.4 No refund for abuse or fraud

We may deny refund requests and terminate accounts where we reasonably believe there was payment fraud, abuse of the refund process, account sharing, or violation of these Terms.

6. Course Content & Student License

6.1 Ownership

Course content—including videos, documents, slides, and supplementary materials—is owned by the respective instructors and/or Meda Academy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your license as a student

When your enrollment is active, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course content for your personal educational purposes only, for the duration of your access period. Video lessons are delivered through secure streaming with digital rights management (DRM). A watermark displaying your account information may appear during playback to help protect content.

6.3 Documents and downloads

For video courses, documents attached to video lessons may be available for download while your enrollment is active, where the instructor has made them available. For document-only courses, materials are provided for viewing within the Platform during your access period. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly share course materials outside the permitted personal use described in these Terms.

6.4 Prohibited use of content

You may not: • Share your account or login credentials with others • Record, capture, livestream, or publicly display course videos • Copy, redistribute, or resell course materials except as expressly allowed for downloadable attachments in video courses • Bypass or attempt to bypass DRM, watermarks, or access controls • Use automated tools to scrape or download protected content • Use course materials to facilitate academic dishonesty or exam misconduct

7. Instructor Terms

7.1 Becoming an instructor

Instructor status is granted by Meda Academy at our discretion. You may create a student account first, then contact us to request instructor access. We review your subject expertise and intended courses before upgrading your role.

7.2 Creating and publishing courses

Instructors may create video courses or document-only courses, set the price and access period in days, and submit courses for admin review. Courses are not publicly listed until approved. We may approve, reject, or request changes to courses that do not meet our quality, syllabus-alignment, or content standards. Rejected courses may be revised and resubmitted.

7.3 Instructor responsibilities

You represent that your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge, does not infringe third-party rights, and complies with applicable law and these Terms. You are responsible for the content you publish. For enrollments in your courses, you may access student information needed to manage teaching—such as the student's name, email address, and mobile number—along with enrollment status and dates.

7.4 Revenue share and payouts

Your revenue share with Meda Academy is negotiated and agreed between you and Meda Academy before or when your instructor role is granted. There is no single default split for all instructors. Earnings are tied to approved enrollments—not pending or rejected orders. Payout timing and method are arranged with Meda Academy and are typically processed via CliQ, in line with your agreed terms.

7.5 License you grant to Meda Academy

By submitting a course, you grant Meda Academy a non-exclusive license to host, stream, display, market, and deliver your course content on the Platform for as long as the course remains published and these Terms apply. You retain ownership of your original content.

7.6 Removing or unpublishing courses

Instructors cannot permanently delete a published course directly from the Platform. If you wish to remove or unpublish a course, contact Meda Academy. We will review whether any students currently have active access and handle removal in a way that respects existing enrollments and these Terms.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose • Impersonate any person, university, or institution • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent CliQ payment proofs • Share account credentials or sell access to courses • Harass, threaten, or defame other users or instructors • Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code • Attempt unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' data • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without our written permission • Interfere with Platform security, DRM, or integrity Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund, especially where fraud or fake payment proofs are involved.

9. Intellectual Property

The Meda Academy name, logo, design, software, and Platform features created by Meda Academy are our intellectual property and may not be used without our prior written consent. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights, contact us at meda.company.jo@gmail.com with sufficient detail for us to review the claim.

10. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL COURSES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, specific academic results, exam outcomes, employment, or third-party recognition of any course. Instructors are independent content providers; views and materials in their courses are their responsibility. Course content is for educational purposes and is not professional medical, legal, or other licensed advice unless clearly stated otherwise by a qualified provider.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MEDA ACADEMY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MEDA ACADEMY FOR THE SPECIFIC COURSE OR ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY JORDANIAN DINARS (50 JOD), WHICHEVER IS HIGHER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meda Academy from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or—in the case of instructors—your course content or infringement of third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may request to close your account by contacting us. Upon closure or termination, your access to enrolled courses will end, subject to the retention practices in our Privacy Policy. Meda Academy may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, particularly in cases of fraud or fake payment proofs. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law—will remain in effect.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Amman, Jordan. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns informally. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
